The chennai corporation has been striving hard to make the city a role model for others. It has built many flyovers, roads and has taken efforts to maintain the parks in a good condition. Adding to this, cleanliness is also given a high preference. Recently it has issued an order regarding this.
- A fine of Rs.50 would be imposed for spitting.
- A fine of Rs.100 would be imposed for dropping the garbage in roads.
- A fine of Rs.1000 would be imposed for failure of keeping the surroundings clean.
These rules would come into effect from April1,2008. This sounds nice but has the corporation taken all the steps to implement this rule? Has it provided proper and adequate toilets and garbage boxes?...
Corporation should think about this and make necessary actions to make the city clean and tidy.
